Interested in inspiring other like minded organizations to learn about RBM and Gender Equality? This is your moment.
Overview
The Spur Change Program is reaching out to small and medium size organizations (SMOs) who can speak about their experience in implementing Results-Based Management (RBM) strategies and gender equality in their own projects and programs.
Speakers will take part in a new conversation series launching early 2023 focused on RBM and gender equality through the lens of their organization’s work and lived experience. This conversation series will be centered on peer-to-peer learning and will provide opportunities for you to offer your own experience as examples exploring the processes, tools, and best practices in Gender and Intersectionality in RBM, while working in an international context. Speak on your experiences, the challenges you overcame, your organizational strengths, and opportunities to improve so as to better equip others to incorporate gender-sensitive practices into their RBM planning.
Benefits of sharing your story
We all learn best from our peers and your experience can be highly valuable for other like minded organizations facing similar experiences. Here are some key benefits:
- An opportunity to provide valuable experiences and tangible knowledge in a convivial and friendly environment;
- An opportunity for you to build and nurture your network with the Canadian international cooperation community and have additional partnership opportunities with other like-minded SMOs;
- One-on-one support from our Spur Change Team during the design and delivery of your session for best learning experiences.
What is required from you as a speaker?
We invite you to submit a relevant example or case study that illustrates your experience integrating gender sensitive, responsive, and transformative approaches to RBM. Examples of tools, methods or insights on your work are highly appreciated. We’re not necessarily looking for a refined or perfectly implemented example; rather, we hope for examples that will welcome insightful conversation. You don’t need to consider yourself an RBM expert to apply to speak.
The case study or example presentation should not take more than 20 mins to present. The rest of the conversation series would be devoted towards group discussions and Q&A to promote dialogue. Potential Key Topic Areas include: Result Chains and Logic Models, Theories of Change, Results-Based Monitoring, Performance Measurement Framework (PMF), participatory approaches to RBM, Gender Equality, Environmental Sustainability and Governance.
Selection process
The Spur Change team will review the speaker applications and make final topic and speaker selections by November 21st, 2022. A member of our team will work with selected speakers to ensure speakers are well supported during the presentation. Deadline to apply is November 21, 2022.
Time commitment
Our conversation series will take place during the first weeks of February. The Spur Change requires that speakers commit to participate to the three session in order to 1) facilitate the main topic discussion and 2) engage with other like-minded speakers throughout the following sessions
