ICNEngage

The ICN provides a national forum in which the Councils collaborate for improved effectiveness and identify common priorities for collective action. Rooted in communities across Canada, we are leaders in public engagement at a local and regional level and are recognized for bringing regional knowledge and priorities to the national level.

The Spur Change program is a 5-year initiative of the Inter-council Network (ICN), funded by Global Affairs Canada (GAC), aiming to increase the effectiveness of SMOs to deliver sustainable results in support of the Feminist International Assistance Policy and the Sustainable Development Goals; support educators in engaging school communities on global issues; and foster youth action on the Sustainable Development Goals.

Inspiring Action for Global Citizenship

Inspiring Action for Global Citizenship, launched in 2019, engages Canadians in international cooperation and sustainable development goals. The program excels in capacity building, youth leadership, curriculum development, and public engagement on gender equality, human rights, and global citizenship. ICN reaches over 4 million people annually with 32,000+ participants.

Resources

The ICN provides timely research, polling and webinars on important issues facing the sector. It fills an important role in building Canadian Global Citizenship and representing Small and Medium-sized Organizations. As a network, the ICN supports good practices, amplifies voice and builds on the campaign work of Provincial and Regional councils. The ICN’s voice, however, cannot perfectly reflect the voice of each individual Council.
