Lessons Learned Report (Summer-Fall 2025)

The Spur Change program is a 7-year pilot initiative, funded by Global Affairs Canada, aiming to increase the effectiveness of Canadian small and medium organizations (SMOs) to deliver sustainable results in support of the Feminist International Assistance Policy (FIAP) and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The main outcomes of the program are to increase the engagement of Canadian SMOs in international development and increase the engagement of Canadians, particularly youth, as global citizens. The purpose of the lessons learned report is to assess and present the key lessons learned throughout the implementation of the Spur Change program and provide avenues of improvement for any future capacity building programs. The scope of the lessons learned will be on the program as a whole: from 2019 - 2025 and will involve facilitating knowledge transfer with Spur Change staff (current and past), implementing partners, and consultant(s) providing program deliverables. The final report should present key lessons learned and recommendations.
