Decolonial, anti-racist and feminist public engagement: From awareness to action

About the Campaign

The main goal of the campaign is to create awareness on decolonial, anti-racist and feminist approaches in public engagement (PE) among policymakers, organizations in the sector, and the general public. Throughout the campaign, we will be sharing:

  • Promising practices in PE
  • Strategies that can strengthen the sector's use of decolonial, anti-racist and feminist approaches
  • Recommendations that can inform policy and practice

Public Engagement Modules

The three self-paced learning modules are based on ICN’s research on decolonial, anti-racist and feminist PE. They focus on:

  1. Defining public engagement, feminism, anti-racism, decolonization and intersectionality.
  2. Power, resources, and the politics of language
  3. Centering communities, navigating differences and creating space for critique

Links to each module will be added when they are available!
