About the ‘United Nations High Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development’
In July of 2021, Lauren was privileged to be selected as a United Nations Association of Canada Delegate to the High Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development. While attending the week-long event, Lauren had the opportunity to listen to a plethora of sessions including “Circularity for Resilience and Jobs,” “The Green Recovery: Renewable Energy, Digitalization and Nature-based Solutions” and “Building Circular and Resilient Supply Chains by Empowering Grassroots.” As a result of her experience, Lauren decided to host a webinar on green jobs, conduct focus groups and publish policy recommendations to make an impactful difference for underserved youth hoping to get more involved in the sector.
