
The Fund for Innovation and Transformation (FIT) is a new national innovation initiative launched in May 2019. FIT supports Canadian small and medium-sized organizations (SMOs) testing innovative solutions to advance gender equality and empower women and girls in the Global South.
Civil society organizations, social enterprises, private sector and post-secondary institutions who meet program criteria are invited to apply. Successful applicants will receive $150K-$250 K to test their idea over 6 -15 months in collaboration with local partners in the Global South.
Funded SMOs will share knowledge and learnings from the testing process to build capacity within the international development community around advancing gender equality through innovation and testing.
